The single room was stylish with 2 double beds, so that guests had essentials. The food was fab - lots of options. Its location was unbeatable, just off bus stops & Widnes centre, Warrington and Widnes.

The modern décor is simple yet elegant. Loved the comfortable beds in the standard twin room! Had a nice bath/shower and received a useful set of toiletries. Felt super relaxed here!

Breakfasts were good and the restaurant was good for lunch and dinner. Location is great if you want to be in Widnes.
The rooms were OK but not great. In late June/early July the AC was inadequate. The rooms were noisy at the weekend when the hotel hosted various events/parties.

I liked it. It was fairly clean inside.

Standard King Room with nice bedding made for a comfy night. Location near the local amenities gave a fair bit of convenience for grabbing essentials before heading back to the room.
The cocktail bar closed all day on Sundays caught me off guard, leaving no options for an evening meal or drink after a long day. The hotel is being used for housing, lending a rather chaotic atmosphere with noisy neighbors and a lack of privacy. The communication about facilities definitely needs polishing, as misleading information led to unnecessary frustrations .

Nice spacious room and top location because of the connection to Manchester and Liverpool
A little more attention could be paid to cleanliness.

I stayed in a Standard King Room for one night. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean. The shower temperature fluctuated, inconvenient, and the breakfast was not well managed, with items running out quickly during service hours.

The hotel itself is very outdated. The smells through the different rooms took getting used to.

The staff was very friendly. From the reception desk to the service staff. Everyone smiled, was helpful and always greeted friendly. The location (bus stop right in front of the door) is also good. With the family by bus to Liverpool in 1 hour and that for the price of 10 GBP.
The condition of the bathrooms is in need of improvement. Water pressure too low and moisture damage throughout the room. Please renovate urgently!

The hillcrest was a pleasant stay. The staff were lovely, and our superior king room was perfectly clean. The hotel has a newly refurbished bar with good prices on food and drinks. It really transformed the atmosphere into a must-visit spot.

Location despite being next to main road it was a quite place. All staff we met there for very very nice very helpfull, we also got room service 1 evening and this was also very well presented and tasty!.
The only thing I didn't like was the room temp, now it was sept that we stayed the weather wasn't warm and sunny but humid and this cause our bedroom to be so so warm even though we had heating turned off and 2 windows open my children still had to sleep in there vests only. So maybe this could be improved?

Very friendly staff - all of them! We were allowed to bring our dog which was wonderful. The breakfast prepared for us was truly delicious. Very quiet despite there being a wedding party on the Saturday night.
The plumbing was a little temperamental - not a problem for one or two nights but would be if staying longer.
